Ministries in Latoka, Fiji

Fijians are happy people!  They love their families, heritage, culture and God!!  This is a mixture of PTC Staff and Students outside the PTC Base house.

Darrel is wearing the pocket sulu outfit to be worn for semi-formal to formal occasions.  Jan is wearing the sulu chamba for similar occasions.  Both are traditional outfits commonly worn by Fijians to this day.

This simple gathering of Fijians turned out to be one of the semi-formal occasions to which we both wore our traditional outfits.  We  gave a word from the Lord and worshiped.

"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Matthew 19:14.

Wati became a very special friend.  Wati was strengthened in the Lord and was bold in evangelizing the surrounding Indian and Fijian villages.  Wati fasted and prayed for God to give her the Hindu language so she could share His good news with the Indians in her village area.  The Lord gave her the Hindu language and now she is a mighty witness for His Glory.  The Church Wati attends is the blue building in the background of this photo.

This is a typical Indian home in the nearby area where Wati, Jan and Darrel did visitation ministry.

This Indian lady was watching over her eight goats while we shared the Lord and prayed with her.

Bath time!!

This Indian family was so gracious to invite us into their home.  We met them at a local Crusade where we got to pray with them.  They served us a fabulous curry, kasava & roti meal.
This Indian couple Darrel met at a carnival.  He prayed for the woman's cousin who has not heard out of his right ear since birth.  The Lord healed him instantly and he could hear out of his right ear for the first time.   This Indian lady was so moved she invited Darrel and Jan to her home as shown behind them in this picture.  She asked us to pray for her and her husband because they have not been able to have children since their marriage a few years ago.  We must go back so we can meet the children the Lord is giving them!!
Jan and several of the team members were very busy each day conducting Kids Club in three different locations of Latoka.  Some days as many as thirty kids would show up!!
